WARMTH
Sphynx
really are normal cats even though they lack hair, they are not a small cat but
actually average-sized. You may be fooled because they do not have that extra
inch or two of fur. Sphynx feel as though they have a higher body temperature
but they don't, their temperature is 100-102 F same as other cats. Do Sphynx need
to be kept warmer, I use the rule if I need a sweater so do my Sphynx. They like
to sleep in blankets or with you.
FOOD
I
feed Chicken Soup for the Soul of the Cat which I will give you some in case you
can't find it, then you can mix it with what you want to feed him to change him
over. Just make sure you feed a high quality food. Also I do feed about a tablespoon
or so of Friskies, Fancy Feast or 9-Lives meat at night for a treat. (Any variety
will work). You can easily spot your cat's personal favorite in a few weeks of
trial if you pay close attention! They all seem to have a favorite and some don't
seem to like meat at all.
LITTER
I
also use a Tidy Cat as litter. No clumping, as this can get into cat paws and
then they clean themselves and could block intestinal tract causing them trauma.
Any good clay litter is fine.
